This very rare vase comes from the palm motif range created by Carlo Scarpa for the MVM Cappellin glassworks in Murano, Venice towards the end of the 1920s. The spherical clear glass is accented with applied pagliesco glass rim and 3 palm motifs. There is a light iridescence on the surface. Design number 5723.

The range was exhibited at the 3rd Biennale of Monza in 1927. Very few of these are known to exist. It is signed to the underside with the firm's acid stamp.
