Rare parcel gilt pill box with embossed Jugendstil decoration and two chrysoprase cabochons on the hinged lid. Interior with gilt decoration.
Marked with the PH monogram mark to the underside of the lid this rare box was designed by Patriz Huber and made by the workshop of Martin Mayer in Mainz, Germany c.1900.
Patriz Huber was a member of the artists' colony at Darmstadt from 1899 til his death in 1902 in his early 20s.
