Very large vase in flattened ovoid form with a gentral wide groove running top to bottom on both sides. The groove is decorated with piered holes. The flanks are scratched and tooled rough surfaces. There is underglaze rusty oranges and reds throughout and creamy white over with the addition of pale blues and even pale violet within the grooves.
One of the largest pieces Alan made before moving to the south of France. Purchased by me at Harlequin Gallery, Greenwich, London early 2000s.
