Large, deep glass bowl with amethyst and white pulled thread decoration. Also with small tool-worked leaves. The surface with iridized lustre finish. Designed by the Swedish artist Tyra Lundgren for the Venini company of Murano, Italy in the late 1930s.
Tyra Lundgren was an established glass and ceramics designer in Sweden and Finland before her collaboration with Paolo Venini's great company. Leaves, birds and fish were a popular theme in her works.
